Zedong Lan is a doctor, a professor/chief physician, a graduate student supervisor and an orthodontics expert. Dr. Lan serves as the Director of Shenzhen Stomatological Hospital of Southern Medical University (Shenzhen Dental Medical Center of Guangdong Province) and holds additional posts as the Vice President of the Guangdong Stomatological Association, the Vice President of the Guangdong Medical Aesthetics Association, a Standing Member of the Orthodontics Professional Committee of the Chinese Stomatological Association, a Standing Member of the Stomatology Scientific Research Management Branch of the Chinese Stomatological Association, the Vice Director of the Orthodontics Professional Committee of the Guangdong Stomatological Association, and the Associate Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases.

He is mainly engaged in clinical and basic orthodontics research, specifically, RW, FACE, CCO and other straight wire orthodontic techniques, and has edited and translated books such as Laboratory Technology in Orthodontics and Individual Philosophy Directed Orthodontics.　　

The responsibility of the Vice Editor-in-Chief is to assist the Editor-in-Chief in their work, aid with topic selection planning, and improve the journal’s overall quality.
