Yuxing Bai is a professor, a chief physician, a doctoral supervisor, and the Director of Beijing Stomatological Hospital and School of Stomatology, Capital Medical University. Dr. Bai holds additional posts as the Vice President of the Chinese Stomatological Association, the President of the Beijing Stomatological Association, the Associate Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Stomatology, Chinese Journal of Orthodontics, Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases and Journal of Modern Stomatology, the Editor-in-Chief of Beijing Journal of Stomatology and Chinese Journal of Prosthodontics, and a reviewer of American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO) and The Angle Orthodontist. In addition, he has won a special government allowance by the State Council of PRC, was recognized as a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding achievements by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the National Health Commission and Beijing City, and was a candidate for the National Millions of Talents Project. He has successively undertaken multiple national, ministerial and provincial key projects, won 6 ministerial- and provincial-level science and technology awards, published 304 papers (including 91 SCI papers), and obtained 19 national patents. Dr. Bai possesses the domestic independent intellectual property rights for an invisible orthodontic technique without brackets, which fills a gap in the domestic market. He also led the formulation of the first national group standards for the orthodontics field and the first technical guide, i.e., “Guidelines for clear aligner orthodontic treatment.” He has been engaged in research on the diagnosis and treatment of malocclusion, correction mechanisms for malocclusion, and the application of digital technology in orthodontic clinical practice.
The responsibility of the Vice Editor-in-Chief is to assist the Editor-in-Chief in their work, aid with topic selection planning, and improve the journal’s overall quality.
